United States international gospel artiste Donnie McClurkin has endorsed Ghanaian gospel group, No Tribe in the just ended 'MTN Ghana Stands in Worship Concert' which was held at the Accra Sports Stadium over the weekend.
Donnie McClurkin after his performance confessed that he had wanted to see No Tribe perform on stage and would therefore do so before he left the stadium. Unfortunately for him, the organizers of the program, Imajin Advertising and the program directors changed the program line up and rather ushered the Nigerian international, UcheAgu onto the stage to perform. Donnie McClurkin had to wait for two hours before No Tribe finally mounted the stage to show what it's made of.
As to why Donnie McClurkin has so much interest in No Tribe, this writer cannot tell but it is quite encouraging and refreshing to know that an international artiste in the person of Donnie McClurkin has so much belief and confidence in the group.
No Tribe took absolute control of the stage and took off with their performance on a good start with some worship tunes and then went on to do their hit song “Obi de asedabeba” .One good highlight of No Tribe's performance was that point in time when Donnie McClurkin joined No Tribe on stage. Right from the crowd, Donnie made a triumphant entry onto the stage as he cheered and danced to No Tribe's songs. The whole stadium erupted with so much cheers as No Tribe's leader Nacy, gave Donnie the microphone to also sing along.
A day after the performance, Donnie McClurkin and his management had a closed-door meeting with No Tribe at the Labadi Beach Hotel. No Tribe presented a nice Kente cloth to Donnie and exchanged some CDs with him as well. Donnie McClurkin was so happy to have spent time with No Tribe before leaving to the airport.
